Protecting our schools, students teachers and staff.

Knowledge is freedom and ignorance is slavery.

  • Freedom to Learn The Truth

Florida textbooks are “special editions” edited to protect students from learning the truth about slavery, the holocaust, and the environmental crisis we face.

Support Our Schools supports teachers’ right to teach those things missing from Florida textbooks. If we are afraid to learn the truth, we are doomed to repeat our mistakes.

  • Immigrant Rights

Under federal law, all children, regardless of their citizenship or residency status, are entitled to a K-12 education, including college counseling services. The American Federation of Teachers provides more information. English and Spanish. Please print and post in classrooms and public places.

  • Education For All

    IDEA Education For All

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law that makes available a free appropriate public education to eligible children with disabilities throughout the nation and ensures special education and related services to those children, supports early intervention services for infants and toddlers and their families, and awards competitive discretionary grants.

  • Protecting Students Rights

Students in public schools have rights to freedom of speech, privacy, and due process. They also have the right to be safe from discrimination and harassment.

The protection of every child begins with a teacher and ends with the knowledge they need to succeed in a career and in society at large. Preparing our students for success requires them to know their rights and responsibilities.
