ICE & Your Rights
Government officials have expressed the intent to send ICE into our schools to round up non-citizens. This has frightened vulnerable families and made our schools less safe.
We we need your help in urging the Sarasota County School District to provide detailed information in both printed form and published on their website explaining student rights and how they will apply if or when ICE agents ask to enter our schools and homes.
The courts may decide otherwise later, but today, we all (citizens and non-citizens) live under the US Constitution as we have known it all our lives. More about school, safety and civil rights.
What You Can Do:
Print and share immigrant rights “red cards”. many languages. Spanish/English
Write a letter to the Sarasota School Board.
