Together, we can give our children the best education.
Quality public schools are the cornerstone of any thriving society.
Our mission is clear: We engage, unite, advocate, and tirelessly work against the defunding and dismantling of our public schools. We aim to ensure every child can access a high-quality, equitable, and inclusive learning environment.

Why SOS?
Historically, “SOS” is a distress signal sent out in a moment of crisis. And that’s precisely where we are today! Legislators at every level of government are working to defund and dismantle public education.
In the world’s most prosperous nation, access to quality education is becoming a choice between a public school with poorly paid teachers and a private school with tuition prices of $15-30,000. School choice is still a hard choice.
SOS members are dedicated volunteers who have taken it upon themselves to be staunch defenders of quality public education. We research, write, and speak out at every School Board meeting. Our community engagement programs inform our community about important issues affecting our schools.
As "Guardians of Public Education," we’re a passionate collective of educators, parents, grandparents, students, and concerned citizens united by a common cause: to protect the future for all children regardless of income or circumstance.
